New top level domains
If you follow new trends on the Internet, you won't have failed to have heard about the new TLDs (Top Level Domains). This means you will increasingly see new website addresses looking a lot funkier than the usual addresses ending in .co.uk or .com. Now you will be able to find a domain ending that is much more relevent to your industry, hobby or interest. There are currently well over 600 new TLDs in-the-works with around 120 already available to register at the time of writing this article.
The new TLDs cover only many new categories, but also foreign languages and even non-latin characters meaning, for example, that specific domain names can be created in Arabic or Chinese using natve characters to each language.
We have taken full advantage of one of the new TLDs with our customer Mystic Kitchen. In order to fully capitalise on short memorable web addresses, we have configured their site to also work off a new address that perfectly and succinctly matches their branding.
